Our services here at The Wooden Boat Shop LLC encompass all areas of recreational boating!
Of course, we service all makes of inboard and inboard-outboard engines, transmissions, as well as outdrives to include Mercruiser, OMC and Volvo. We carry service parts for all makes that include Chris Craft, Hercules, Greymarine, Chevrolet, Interceptor, Ford, Chrysler and Marine Power.
The bulk of our service is primarily antique and classic vintage
water craft and classic glass runabouts and utility restoration. We specialize on full and partial restorations, new 3M 5200/West Bottoms, insurance repair, cosmetic restoration, maintenance coats of varnish, bottom painting, flooring, upholstery, mooring covers, gauge restorations, chrome plating, plank replacement, etc.
We also repair and restore utility and modern fiberglass boats as well.
Another facet of our business is the welding and repair of cutwaters. We weld stainless and aluminum. We TIG weld, MIG weld and STICK weld. We also sell new Crusader and Marine Power engines, Westerbeke generators, Grooms & First Mate remanufactured long blocks, (heads & short blocks).
We rebuild carburetors for all makes & models and specialize in Zenith updraft carburetors and Carter side draft carburetors. Just send us your carburetor and we will rebuild and detail it and ship it straight back to you upon completion. We also sell new Edelbrock “Marine” four barrel carburetors in 600 CFM and 750 CFM.
Show quality chrome plating is available through The Wooden Boat Shop, simply send us your old, worn parts and we will quote you a price.

Are you looking for Marine plywood The Wooden Boat Shop is your source for High Density marine plywood. Marine plywood for lapstrake boats, Okume Miranti and Sapelli marine plywood. We also stock genuine mahogany & white oak in 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 8/4 (some 20 ft. long).

Are you looking for someone to rebuild your starter or your generator/alternator? We are again your source. Need your 6 Volt generator changed to 12 volt – Just send it to us!!

Other Services
Other services that we offer include transportation of antique & vintage boats anywhere in the country. We can handle boats up to
30 ft. on our equipment or we will use your trailer. Call for a price quote.
We also do pre-purchase inspections of boats. Before you purchase a wood boat, have a competent person do an inspection on the boat. We can do a compression test on the engine(s), look over the boat for possible problems, check out the trailer and give you a written report based on our findings. Always have an independent qualified person inspect a boat. I do stress the word “independent.” Technical advice about your project or a survey or simply any questions at all about your purchase is “free of charge” and we are happy to serve you.
Also, at The Wooden Boat Shop, we can repair trailers. We do preventive maintenance such as re-packing wheel bearings and brake shoe replacement to welding, adding support pieces, axle replacement, tire & wheel services and new trailer sales. Our new trailers are custom built to fit your boat. These trailers have walk boards on the sides, propellers and rudder guards, four (4) longitudinal bolsters, side guides and vertical bow stop in a large “V” shape with winch above deck level for easy drive on loading and you get to choose any automotive color.
Winterizations are a huge part of our business in the fall of the year. We winterize inboards, outboards and inboard/outboards of any size and type of construction. It also is a good time to do trailer maintenance. Please, call for a quote!
We do shrink wrap on all types of boats. We install mildew bags in every boat to control moisture.
Prop repair, shaft replacement & strut bearing replacement are also a few of the many services that we can do for you.
All electrical work, general maintenance, tune-ups & usual preventive work including oil changes, winterizing, wheel bearing maintenance, trailer brake work, trailer welding, trailer bunk replacement and bunk carpet replacement, trailer light repair & replacement.
